INVESTIGATION OF THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN THE PSYCHOLOGICAL RESILIENCE AND HAPPINESS LEVELS OF PHYSICAL EDUCATION TEACHERS WORKING IN HIGH SCHOOL (DIYARBAKIR PROVINCE EXAMPLE)

In this study, it is aimed to determine the relationship between these two variables by examining the happiness and psychological resilience levels of physical education and sports teachers working in high schools in Diyarbakır in terms of different variables. The sample group of this research consists of 212 physical education and sports teachers working in high schools in Diyarbakır. Oxford Happiness Scale and Psychological Well-Being Scale were used as data collection tools. The scale and personal information form were applied to the physical education and sports teachers who participated in the study by using the purposive sampling method online. The data obtained as a result of the research were analyzed in the SPSS.22 package program. Descriptive statistics were used in the analysis of the data, t-test for independent groups was used in paired group comparisons, and one-way analysis of variance ANOVA test was used to compare multiple groups. The significance level of 0.05 was considered in the interpretation of the results. According to the findings obtained in the study, it was determined that the happiness and psychological well-being levels of physical education teachers were above the medium level. It was observed that the happiness and psychological well-being levels of physical education and sports teachers did not differ according to the variables of gender and participation in social activities other than exercise, but differed according to age and self-identification in daily life. As a result, it has been determined that there is a moderate and positive relationship between teachers' happiness levels and psychological well-being levels.
