Abstract

This research was conducted to determine the role of sports activities in the socialization process of international students. The personal information forum created by the researcher and the SSQ created by Şahan, (2007) were used. In the analysis of the data, using the SPSS 25 program, the data were evaluated at a significance level of 0.05 and a confidence interval of 95%. Descriptive statistics were calculated to determine the personal information of individuals who voluntarily participated in the research in the personal information forum. The Kolmogrov-Smirnow test was used to determine whether there was a normal distribution in the analysis of the data. Statistically, Kruskal Wallis H test, Mann Witney U test, percentage and coefficient calculations and frequency calculations were made. As a result of the data obtained on the role of sports activities in the socialization process of international students, there is a statistically significant difference in the variables of sports branch, weekly sports time, sports skill level, reason for preferring ADU; There was no statistically significant difference in the variables of age, education level, sports status, department and country.
