INVESTIGATION OF THE TYPES OF INJURY IN PEOPLE READING AT PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS SCHOOL AND PLAYING TEAM SPORTS (MARDIN ARTUKLU UNIVERSITY EXAMPLE)

In the world of sports, changes are constantly happening, and athletic activities are still practiced despite requiring more energy and posing risks. Particularly, the unintentional risks taken and the urge to win lead to a variety of problems. Some of these injuries are referred to as non-serious injuries because they heal quickly, some are described as moderate disabilities because they take between 8 and 21 days to heal, and some are described as very serious disabilities because they take a long time to heal. The aim of this study is to examine the appearance and types of these injuries. A total of (225) athletes dealing with different branches participated in the study, and 180 athletes among them had injuries. Among the participants, the highest (20) age (43) athletes participated. Among the branches, the highest football players (87) and the lowest ( 8 ) athletes participated in the handball branch. Considering their personal characteristics, the highest courageous (83) athlete emerged with the lowest hasty (12) athlete participation. The most important factor causing injuries to athletes was the opponent's blow (n= 77: 42.77%). The least causative factors were determined as the inadequacy of protective equipment (n= 6: 3.33). The most injured athletes emerged as football players as n=89 (49.4%). The least injured athletes were volleyball players, n= 9 (5%). The highest rate of causes of injury was found to be reverse and sudden movements, and the number of injured athletes (73) was 40.55%. The number of athletes with the lowest number of injuries (13) was 7.22% other.
