Use of Social Media in Fitness Businesses Impact on Individual Performance

The aim of this study was to evaluate (i) the use of social media for business purposes and individual performances of trainers in fitness businesses; (ii) to examine the effect of social media use for business purposes on individual performance. The study group of the research consists of 174 exercise trainers working in fitness businesses in Ankara. In the study, "Business Social Media Usage Scale" and "Individual Performance Scale" were used as data collection tools. As a result of the study, it is seen that the individual performances of the exercise trainers who work with the traditional membership system and who have been working in fitness businesses for a longer period of time are higher. In addition, it is seen that the relationship between the use of social media for business purposes in fitness businesses and the individual performance of exercise trainers is positive and at a low level.
