SCALE FOR DETERMINING THE IN-SERVICE TRAINING NEEDS OF CLASSROOM TEACHERS FOR PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND GAME LESSON

Abstract

Purpose: The aim of this research is to develop a measurement tool to reveal in-service training needs according to the physical education and game lesson curriculum in primary schools. Method: The research is a basic research and was conducted on 386 classroom teachers in Ankara-Keçiören district between March and May 2019. Descriptive statistics, exploratory and confirmatory factor analyzes in data analysis; Cronbach Alpha was used for reliability analysis. Results: The total variance of the scale, which consists of 25 items and 2 factors (Preparation for Teaching and Performing Teaching), was 79.98%. Cronbach's alpha was calculated as 0.98. Conclusion: It has been determined that this developed scale is a reliable and valid measurement tool with high validity and reliability, with the name of determining the in-service training needs of Classroom Teachers for Physical Education and Play Lesson (SÖBEODHİEGB).
